Do you have any moth-eaten sweaters, frayed socks, or ripped jeans hanging in your closet? Join us at the Coolidge Corner Library for an introduction to basic mending techniques that are also fun and artistic like patching, darning, and sewing a button. This is a beginner friendly class, and all materials will be provided. You're welcome to bring in a garment you’re hoping to repair for a consultation.
Buying fewer clothes and maintaining what you have is the best way to reduce your environmental impact. Visible mending not only promotes sustainability but also fosters creativity, saves money, and builds community!
Attendance is limited to 15 participants on a first come, first served basis. Tickets will be available at the Patron Services Desk starting at 5:30 p.m..
