Mending Circle: Sweater, Socks, and Denim Repair

Repair & Reimagine Your Clothing Artistically! Do you have moth-eaten sweaters, frayed socks, or ripped jeans hanging in your closet? Instead of tossing them out, transform them into something beautiful. Join me at the Weston AIC (356 Boston Post Road, Weston, MA) for a flexible, hands-on Visible Mending Workshop where you’ll learn to repair and artistically restore clothing you already love. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned stitcher, this clothing repair class welcomes all skill levels.

Limited seats available. Registration closes October 5.

Bring a worn or damaged item from home to work on — and if you don’t have one, no worries. We’ll provide a fabric square so everyone can dive right in and start practicing. All mending tools and materials are included, so just show up ready to create.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Foundational visible mending techniques for everyday clothing repair

  • How to turn tears, holes, and wear into intentional, artistic design

  • Creative approaches to sustainable fashion and slow living

  • Skills to extend the life of your wardrobe and reduce textile waste

Prerequisite: No experience necessary
